The Chief Editor of Nature Climate Change at Springer Nature, Dr. Bronwyn Wake, will be presenting her talk "Publishing in Nature Portfolio journals" at the Australian National University on Monday November 10th 2025. Dr. Wake will discuss what the editors are looking for when considering submissions, and will give an overview of the publication process. With her 13 years of experience in editorial work at the Nature Publishing Group, Dr. Wake's talk will be a great opportunity for sustainability researchers at all career stages to learn something new about publishing with one of the most influential outlets in Science dissemination.
The lecture will be from 2-3pm, and will be followed by a small, catered networking session from 3pm-4pm in the Forestry foyer.
Dr. Wake completed her postgraduate studies at University of Tasmania, Australia, with a PhD in trace element biogeochemistry and first class Honours in Antarctic Studies. Her postdoctoral work at the University of Southampton, UK and European Institute for Marine Studies, Brest, France focused on trace metal cycling in marine waters and their roles as micronutrients for phytoplankton. She is based in the London office of the Nature Publishing Group.
